PLorigin products are made of bases with organic coconut oil and butters like shea, mango, and cocoa. Since castor oil, aloe, black seed, and moringa are also body and skin healthy, these are often included in many of our health and wellness products. Therapeutic essential oils (always 100% oils, no fillers) figure greatly in our formulas as each oil added to a “recipe” enhances the benefits gained in each salve we make.

Natural oils and butters can be harmed or spoiled when stored in hot or extremely cold areas. Glove boxes in the car are a no-no as are on top of areas (like counter tops/tables) that are in full sunlight during the day. For a lengthy shelf life AND to keep your salves in shape for them to do their work, think of a contained area in a cupboard or drawer (not too close to the oven/stove)(bathrooms might be too steamy if you take a lot of showers/baths) that is dark and cool, away from sunlight and, of course, very cold temperatures, too.

PLorigin products are skin and body health and wellness products meant to be applied to the outside of the body. These products are NOT to be ingested, nor should they be applied too close to the eyes or mouth. While essential oils are natural and plant based, they are very powerful. MOST essential oils are NOT recommended for internal use.

Being plant based, PLorigin salves and creams do not contain any harmful ingredients (no chemical cocktails), however, PLorigin recognizes that every person is unique. Some people have allergies while others may not have any. As such, PLorigin makes the ingredient lists very transparent. If you are allergic to bee stings, we are able to create a small batch of salve without beeswax or bee propolis specifically for you. Keep us in the loop of what your needs are and we will be happy to see what an alternative solution might be.

There may be times when a salve starts getting slightly “grainy”, especially towards the bottom of the container. Whether it has gone through too many temperature changes (this is commonly found if the container is kept in the bathroom) or the cap/cover is left off of the container open to air; the salve can develop some “grains/lumps”. This does NOT mean that your salve has gone bad, it is only a texture change. Rub the salve in your palms as you normally would to warm it and you will see that the grains melt away immediately. Apply to affected skin as needed.

As always, if you are on medication, please consult your physician before taking this product. This is another reason why PLorigin is very transparent with its ingredient list. Give the list to your physician.
