Neuropathy, commonly known as nerve pain, came into my world via a family member who, all of a sudden, was having foot pain along with intermittent numbness and tingling. Being a strong, independent person, he was NOT happy! The pain was enough to keep him from sleeping soundly at night, but even more frightening, he couldn’t trust his own feet when he was walking. They would go numb at the oddest moments and he’d feel like he was going to take a tumble in front of everyone. He stopped leaving his home and started avoiding stairs. His quality of life was being affected.

I hit the computer and started researching and found out that neuropathy pain is much more common than I would have ever thought. I was hooked on creating something that would at least minimize the pain and help with the tingling and numbness.
I combined some anti-inflammatory and analgesic essential oils with a few others that specifically helped with nerve pain. Some had natural sedative properties and others were touted to be able to help with repairing damaged nerves and/or disrupting transmission of pain impulses. All good things to have when dealing with nerve pain.
A recipe was created which has been tweaked a few times since. In most cases, pain was dulled and, in some cases, eliminated. A few others stated that their tingling/numbness would go away for a few hours when the neuropathy salve was massaged into the affected area. Every person is unique in how they started on their nerve pain journey, some from disease (like diabetes) and some from no known sources . . . nerve pain is no fun! Even a few hours of relief can reduce stress and anxiety from never ending pain.
